Alex was impressed the way Johnny Morra played in the finals of the Canadian 10-ball.
Johnny won 10-3 in the finals....and kept Alex in his chair.

He figures that the Canucks might be ready for another border clash.....
...win or lose, he thinks we can produce a better match.

Jason Klatt beat Alex hill/hill for the Canadian 8-ball title this year....
...a must for the Border team.

Alain Martel lost hill/hill to Alex in the A-side last 4.....
....so many of their matches have been all the way.

Big Red has to be considered...has won Canadian championships since he was a junior.
I was there when he won the Prince Albert ...lotta great players in the field.

We've never had a Metis Canadian champion...but we've had one make it to the final...

I would love to see another one of these. Alex is playing as well as anyone on the planet right now and Johnny has really stepped up to the elite ranks in the last few years. Add in Klatt, Martel/Grenier and Big Red and you've got a strong team.

Have you spoken to Wych? Surely he's got the connections to make this happen!

...and most notably, a big one in Atlantic City....

Sylvain Grenier....can be explosive...first time I saw him in the US Open....
...he was playing a good player...the poor guy got to three.
The short format of the team contest should suit him fine,

...got big-time creds south of the border....
...a winning player and known as a gentleman.

....not many people can say they've beaten Johnny Archer at nine-ball in his prime...
....and Jimmy White at snooker in his prime....both wins were in important tournaments.

I remember watching the border battle when I was in my 20s. Really miss it. The mosconi cup is awesome but I would love to see some canucks in an international team event!

MIA....these players have been inactive...but they would be great to have on the team...
....if they would just start playing again.

Tyler Edey......had some great results when he played full time.

....had success south of the border also...the Reno tournament comes to mind.
