Boring Bar needed

Hey guys,
Anyone have a boring bar that is .250 at the rear and the same at the cutting end. I had a special fixture made years ago and my bar is shot. I need it to cut at least 3 inches. New and super sharp would be great too.

I had a couple made a year or so ago. If you do a search for small boring bar or something, you should be able to find where I had it made. I can bore 3.5 inches with it. I'm not sure how long Chris's is. I couldn't find what I wanted, so had these made up.
 
ThinBit make a carbide bar that will fit your needs. Don't know the price .

If you want to be able to bore a .250" hole three inches deep you will have to have the tool custom made. Mine will only bore that small of a hole for about 1.75" which is enough to install the alignment shoulders on Radial and Uni-Loc but that is about it.
 
I have had great success with 1/4" 4 flute, Long solid carbide, endmills to cut very accurate holes. If done right, you can use one (1-1/2" long, just need to take your time, and clean the bit and holes often. I believe they call it a center-cutting one, tting length) to bore 3", to 'drill' extremely accurate holes.
