Is Flattop Johnny's in Kendall Square still around. I figure your either Harvard or MIT, either way Kendall Square is easy.

BTW, I'm pretty sure you can get to Mickey's in Holbrook by public transportation, but it ain't easy. You'd have to take the Red line to Quincy or Braintree (I don't know which one) and grab a bus that goes up Rt 37 in Holbrook. Mickeys is right on Rt 37 at the Holbrook-Braintree line. Even grabbing a cab from Braintree probably wouldn't be to expensive.

Yup flattops is still around. They have a 9ball tournament every monday night.

Let me see what I can do about a room. How many people are interested say the 12th of this month

Dave

I'd be up for it Dave. How's the old team doing?

I can do it on the 12th as long as its in the evening, say 6 or later. I'm in Waltham but I have a car so I can travel.

What room should this be at? Flat Top Johnnies, or one of the Boston Billiards?

Hello all

Doesnt look like I can get something together by the 12th (if someone else can though go for it).

But I do think this is a great idea and want to see something put together. I am leaving for florida for a week the 14th so if nothing happens by the time I get back I will try again

Sorry
Dave

Maybe we could head to the tourney at flattop's next monday night? Otherwise maybe pick another night and just reserve a table someplace that everyone can get to...

Well you could drive the hour and a half (or so) to Weymouth and we could play in my basement where you have to use a short stick if you get close to the rails. Sound exciting? :D

Personally, I work away from home during the week so if it's not the weekend (that is to say a Saturday) I'm out.

Okay, I just called Boston Billiard Club here in Worcester about their private room.

$100/hr for 3 tables, 2 couches, few TV's, music (see "Meeting Area" here). Note, 4 tables shown on website, only 3 there now.

I tried to call the one in Boston but it was busy (I know the majority of us are closer to Boston). If we're talking 10+ people this would be a good setting and a reasonable price. The Worcester has Saturday night open.

This is just an idea, maybe we could get a head count for who's interested.

1. Me
2. ?
....

We could also go to Country Club USA where you can play on Saturdays from 10am to 6pm for $10 and grab a few tables. This would be better than BBC if you ask me.

Thoughts?

I'll be away this saturday, but any other saturday works for me. Personally, someplace accessible by public transportation would be best... I don't have a car.
