Boston area pool players,

Our in house league is starting up February 9, 2015 at Jillian’s Boston. We welcome players of all levels. This is a fun and competitive 8 ball league that has been around for more than 16 years. Our handicapping system is loosely based on the APA system. Cash prizes paid out at the end of the season. A team consists of four players and the cost is 10 per person per night. Individuals are welcome and we will find a team for you to join.

Sounds like a great time. I miss going to Jillians and Boston Billiards. When I lived up in Manchester I used to go to both. I did visit the Boston location several times as well. Loved it! Good luck with the league and have fun.
 
Do they still have the snooker table setup? Have not been there in a decade or so but last time I was there I remember they had a full size snooker table.

What's the format like? Is it races or one game then wait for the rotation. And is it on Monday nights? What time too???
 
Two teams of four play each other. The captains determine the match ups and you play a race according to the handicap chart. The evening consists of two rounds, the first two matches begin between 7:30 to 8:00 and are usually done by 9 or so and then the following two matches are played and end by 11. Play is every Monday night as long as the Red Sox are not playing a home game and you get your table at 6pm. I can forward you the rule book.

Because of the snow storm our first day is delayed to February 2 2015. Hope to see some new faces.
 
Once again delayed due to snow so see you guys on February 9 (weather permitting)?
 
I know you aren't going to believe this but we are going to try to start the league this Monday the 23rd barring any other #!$!#$!# blizzards or snow storms.
 
If anyone is interested in joining our league, new teams and individuals can still join this week and next.
