I have just relocated from Phoenix to the Boston area(Braintree) and was wondering what the good spots were to play pool around here? Anyone know of any?

Make sure you visit any of the Boston Billiard Clubs if for nothing else, for the experience. (Fenway, Worcester, Warwick, RI, Nashua, NH).

Also check out Snookers in Providence, RI and Country Club USA (Chelmsford, MA).

I need to get to Chelmsford myself one of these days.
 
I'm moving to Waltham in July, so I'll be sure to check out the above mentioned places.

Hey Bob,

Welcome to Braintree! That's where I grew up and now live in Weymouth. The best to play in the area is Renaissance which was already mentioned. Just figure out where the cinemas are in Quincy Center and Renaissance is right below them.
If you venture into Boston, Boston Billiards on Brookline is a great place to play. Within a block of Fenway Park.
I'll be at Renaissance tonight for league so let me know if you're available and I'll show you around.

Hey Paul,

See you tonight. We're playing you guys but there may be a little controversy on my team. We went down to the qualifiers Saturday and I only had two guys show up besides me. Either someone is taking over as captain or I'm done for the summer. An 8 man team and I can only muster up 3 people. Talk about pissed off!

Koop since he probably will be going to the registry in Quincy anyway that's probably a pretty good landmark. BTW, where do live in Weymouth, I thought you were in Quincy? My home is on Cottage Lane off Homestead Ave.

If you went to the registry of motor vehicles for a new license or registration, it is directly behind that.

Any Sunday on my way to NH, Monday, Thursday, or Friday on my way home from NH. Monday you're at the APA so I guess that leaves Thursday.

Sounds like there is a lively pool scene here in Boston, maybe I will actually be able to get into it here unlike back in Phoenix heh ... Look forward to meeting all of you :-D

Just as an FYI there is a 20 dollar tourny every tuesday night at Renaissance starting at 7 or 7:30 not really sure though havent been playing much lately. Plus have a bumb hand now so wont be playing anytime soon. But have fun in Boston

I called up that place in quincy and found its $10 an hour for a table, is it that expensive everywhere to play? I'm used to paying $3-4 an hour in Phoenix for the nice pool halls.
 
Hey Bobb! We could have car-pooled...I just moved from Colorado to Connecticut (last weekend)....and from what I have seen, the cost of pool is a huge difference.....lots of great competition......if you get down my way, buzz me.......
