I'm going to boston next week the 18-22nd and I've never been there before. Anyone recommend pool halls there? Or is anyone from there that wants to play?

I'll be staying at The Marriott Copley Place on Huntington Ave.

I was there a few weeks ago, and I hit two of the local pool halls. I was staying in Copley Place as well, but I ended up driving to Renaissance Billiards in Quincy the first night. Renaissance is a nice place, with a mix of Diamonds and what looked to be GC's. The tables seemed to be pretty well maintained, and I don't remember the rates being too crazy. I would make a return trip to Renaissance if back in the area.

The second night I played, I ended up at King's on Dalton St., which was right across from my hotel. They have GC's, but both of the tables I tried (yes, I switched once, but to no avail) had serious rail and cushion problems, and the felt looked like it hadn't been changed since the Clinton administration. The place was jam packed, the music was about 4 db above bleeding-ear level, and table time was $14/hr... needless to say, my tab was less than $14. :D

I know there are a lot of other places to play in Boston, but these are the only two I've visited so far. Good luck.

Well I'm here now. Hopefully I can get into some sort of trouble.
Check out one of the Boston Billiard Clubs. I've been to two of 'em up there, and both were nice. Great service, waitresses were easy on the eyes...AND knew how to treat the customers, and the tables were in good shape. Club USA is a cool place to be, too. Nice tables (and tons of 'em), nice staff, and the food is pretty damned good, too.

There are quite a few AZB guys up that way...you should be able to hook into a match with at least one of 'em.

I met all of these guys the last time I was up that way....and each of 'em is a pleasure to hang out with.

Shoot 'em good.
