Braided Nylon Wrap

Building a cue for Ray Martin and he wants a black braided nylon wrap. Said he had one on a Gus and a Balabushka at one time. Is it old fishing line or something different ? I can see that some of the craft jewelry stores carry something but not sure if is right stuff. Thanks for any help. Doug

I believe he had Cortland Dacron on the Bushka. If I got in on Deans deal, that is what I would of had built.

I would be surprised if any Dacron of today would be equivalent to Cortland Dacron. I could be wrong, but I believe that someone mentioned that Ray Martin has black Cortland Dacron on all of his cues. My preference in wrap is green-black Cortland. And nothing today feels the same.

Cortland Dacron and Cortland linen are two totally different types of fishing line. I have a spool of White w Green Spec Cortland Dacron, this is not the highly desired Cortland Linen that everyone is looking for.
