I just bought a cue from Sikayeako and she is in the process of shipping it to me. I can't give iTrader feedback until I receive the cue, but I'm confident that she will deliver what she promises. This is the thread: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=157510
As you can see, she is new and has no iTrader feedback, but another AZ member has met her in person an vouches for her honesty. She responds promptly to PMs and provides clear pictures of the cue. That's enough for me to take a chance on a new seller. IMHO using an escrow service for a relatively inexpensive cue is overkill.

Good Day to you Sir

Thank you Sir for trusting me.

SInce I'm new to AZB, inexpensive prices for cues is our way to somehow capture the market (its a most commonly known strategy). And you may notice that the cues are PJ's with wood that are in abundance in our country (except for the 2 tone that I sold - it was the last piece that could fit both forearm and butt:)). But if you look for any other type of wood that is not native of our country, obviously the price will double, if not, tripled. OUr local woods may already be exotic to other countries and vice versa.

One of the reasons I support my friend on this is that I, too also love Amboyna. It's got a very unique characteristic and that only mother nature can create. Its more like an abstract painting and one could never have anything that is exactly the same to the other because of the signature grains - the magnificent swirls. Each and every wood selection has its own identity and no 2 cues could ever be exactly the same. They are similar, but not identical. This is mainly because AMboyna burl is the "tumor" or "virus" that is isolated by the Narra tree (very much like in a human being). These are the "warts" you could see outside the tree. That is why it has its distinct burl. Ever since we bought the 2 tone amboyna (which we sold to Sir Petemoss), I was hooked and googled much about it. Neways, below is a pic of the tree and a link to amboyna info.

I stand corrected...

2 cues may exactly be the same if the "burl" or wart is large enough to fit the length and thickness of the forearm. I just analyzed that ....

Neway, am not an expert but I highly appreciate woods that I can google and see pictures of .

Just to mention something about the pics.... The pics taken from the 2 tone I sold are done by a hobbyist friend (photography) for free - since it was a personally owned cue and we would want clear pics of our "babies" for souvenir. The pics of this one is done without any "enhancements" by 50mm lens etc. or with proper lighting, but its clear enough to depict the rare grains...

My friend only gave me 3 days to sell this cue... I am on my day 2.

Cue repriced... 200 USD.

I asked my friend to give me some "allowance" so that I could invest on my Itrade... He's willing to shoulder the shipping costs.

Thank you.

This is a nice looking cue. By any chance is the cuemaker a person who goes by Silverztone and sells "JD Cues" on ebay? I have a 6 point cue made by him that has the same type of ringwork and some other simularities. If so, I can attest to the quality and value of the cue.

Hi... I personally know the maker of JD cues but he isn't the one who made this. This is made by dcuekid, an apprentice of a known cuemaker here before (who now lives in Canada) and has people who works for him (about 3) who were also apprentices of known cuemakers here. These are people who wants to be known in their craft and wants to make a name for themselves.

Neway, I guess its best to wait for my first Itrade feedback before I push on with other cues. Just wanted to help him out anyway. I could always post it again if ever it isn't sold yet. Thanks!

Kaye
