Pictures of the beveled would be great.
As far as the blanks,
They are a great option for any cue shop to have.
Sometimes inserts are i installed crooked.
Sometimes things get broken.
Install the blank, drill, bore, tap.
Situation rectified. They also allow the option if the joint screw is different in size like smaller. You can get a proper fit instead of a sloppy wiggle. Or in the cases that a 5/16x14 acme thread is needed.

Longer pilot blanks serve the purpose of those times where the wooden part of the pilot may be broken. Older cues like Paradise, Etc etc
Or in the case of the Schuler joint.

Thank you i'm still trying to figure out how to dfownsize the pic of the bevelledd 5/`6 -14 inserts I'm guessing someone used these long ago from a different manufacturer. My question would i need to bevel the butt end of the butt before installing the pin to get a good fit?

If your using a windows PC a very easy program to resize images is IrfanView its free too.

Went to Schmelke cues web site.
3 different brass inserts.
Outside threads
M12x1.50mm
M12x1.75mm
1/2-14/span for the inserts with the 3/8x16 inner thread.
Schmelke is known for buying a lot from over seas so the metric thread makes sense.
Good luck.

im lucky i only bought two lol i got off easy ill make installer tools out of them and not buy anymore harware from smelke
Cheap lesson
