Hi everyone
I make this post to listen some opinions about Break Cues...
For you, what is best or best (no more than 3 options please) break cue in price range up to 500usd?!
Have you tried new Predator BK3? (If yes, what think about it?)

Thanks in advance

To me it all depends on what you are looking for in a break cue. I just use an old action jump break sneaky that I got off of a guy for $65. Breaks like hell and it is still a great jump cue also.

I have a Pechauer Break cue and it is outstanding.. I have to tone down my stroke for 9 ball racks... A firm, smooth, center ball hit gives excellent spread with the cue.. The tip it came with is excellent

break cue

i use a mitchell thomas custom break cue made from purple heart and i love it

Well, I'll give it some feedback too. I'm not a Predator fan, never will be. But that's because I don't play with a whole lot of low deflection material. I play with custom cues to my own specs.
BUT I have to say that Predator does make decent material and products. In history long ago, even I owned a BK2, Predator cues etc... And let me put it like this; either you love their stuff or either you don't. But you can't go wrong with them if you're leaning towards it.
From production break cues, I used to own the Power break/Power break II with deep impact shaft by Mezz. And let me tell you that it breaks like a monster.

If you're into custom break cues, there are many fine out there, Lomax, Mike Gulyassy, etc... Then, it basically comes down to weight, balance, shaft taper, tip... And you can get what you think suits your style best.
That's a part of what's custom about, plus laying down your own estethics to the cue you'd like.

I currently break with a custom break cue made by Mike Gulyassy. He made 2 shafts for me upon request. And I'm still proud of my material over a year after I bought it from him.

There is many difference between Predator BK2 and BK3?

If the question is, is the difference big enough for the difference in money, then in my opinion; no.
But in general the shaft got a tiny bit stiffer is what I noticed. This probably helps to deliver more power in the long run. So, they actually improved the break cue. But to each their own if it's worth the difference in price.

Many Thanks

I too like the Pechauer Break Cue, we are a dealer for Pechauer & we sell their Break Cues

They are nicely balanced, have a great shaft & a joy to break with

I like the BK2 better than the BK3.
Get a cheap butt of some kind and have a cue maker make you a purpleheart break shaft.

I would have Larry Vigus make me a break cue. His handle is 63Kcode
I personally play with his cues and I break with my player.

Good Luck
