break cue question

I have a tried a break cue from a coworker and its excellent! But i have a particular question for anyone experienced in different ques and tips.

Im considering getting the 2724 from this link (here)

They have the 2724 with phenolic tip and the 2724f which has a phenolic tip as well but its "black" Ferrel. just curious if someone could give me some insight on what that lil black Ferrel and 5 extra dollars will get me.
