Break Cue ?

What is considered the best brake cues shafts and tips? I am old school and just break with my shooting stick. But I just bought a new stick and don’t want to break with it.

Why not just use your old stick then as a break cue then. You could even put a harder tip on it, say if you were using a medium, install a hard.

For an inexpensive break cue try a McDermott from their Lucky series (many under $100). Break with it as delivered or change out the tip for a hard leather.

I have one of these $800 break cues and I see no difference between that and a house cue. The only difference is I have an extremely hard tip on mine. Nothing magical about this $800 cue that a Carter cue I had for 20 years is no better than.

There are quite a few good j/b cues for under 200bux. Players, Action, J&J all have good cues. I have a J&J with a White Diamond tip that works perfect.

Light house Cue can be a breaker.

Breaking is a skill, not about your Cue.

Got a Pearson. Making a ton of nice looking inexpensive cues. Put a bulletproof break tip on it.
