i am having a hard time finding a good break cue. im not to sure what to look for and what names to look at. as far as i can tell predator's break cue and the "sledge hammer break cue" are pretty good, but like i said before i dont know. so i am opinion to opinions and ideas. thanks...........

Well, Break sticks are a imfamous subject, lol I have seen guys use, a sledgehammer, Omen, Predator BK, and even thier own cue. And basically its thier own personal Opinion.

I have a 21oz Viking VM34 that i put a Phenolic tip/ferrule combo on and use that for breaking cuz i like having a heavier cue for breaking. I have at times used my playing cue for breaking when i am not breaking well with my Viking.

I find its all about how comfortable you feel with the breakcue.

One of the best players in my area Jason Kirkwood(sp) uses his SCHON for breaking.

How much r u will to spend on a break cue ? The best cue to use is some thing that has a stiff shaft and right at 19oz. but i have some cheep break q'z and some hi break cue .it's all in what u r lookin for..jus pm me ..

I'll say it again, Dufferin Phantom (Sneaky Pete) and the Cuetec J/B are the two best bangs for your buck. Duffein runds around $80, Cuetec around $175. Great cues for breaking!

Were you at the State 9ball last weekend at the Golden 8ball in Holland? If you were, and watched him, you would notice he switched to using my Fury J/B cue cause as he put it: "he was tired of hitting like a p....". He proceeded to pound balls in after that winning his remaining sets 9-4,9-2,13-2. He also made 4 9balls, and parked the 9 in front of the corner pocket 3 other times. He loved the Fury, he just claimed he needed to get used to it. FWIW
