Break ferrule ...

Years ago I experimented with some hard rubber under the ferrule to develop a better break cue.
The idea was the ferrule would compress the hard rubber a bit on hard break shots but not on normal shots. Kinda like a trampoline effect.
Didnt have any high speed cameras so I could not prove any results other than users feedback. It did show some promise.
The rubber came from the center of a bowling ball.
I guess a thick pad of it under the tip might do the same thing.

I don't think it will work as well as a hard tip.............

It looks very complicated and I really don`t understand what the benefit is?
G10 or phenolic ferrule with a 3/8" tennon works fine for me.
