I've been using an Alex Brick dymondwood break/jump with a samsara ultra hard tip and it's the best money I've ever spent, and I've tried BK3's and other break cues but this one is simply amazing. I really feel bad for the balls after I break a rack.
Check out the Players HXTP2 Pure X Jump / Break Cue. I've had it for about a year now and I love it. Jumps effortlessly and tons of configuration options.
People swear by Gilberts and Lomax. I don't really jump so I just have a basic break cue. I had an Alex Brick and it didn't really work out for me, I had one and just could not break accurately with it. Ridiculous how well it jumped though.
About $400 is my top. I have a Predator BK and it breaks good, but does not jump. And would like to have a break stick that will break down into a good jump stick.
Rather than recommend a cue, I would like to point out that there are some differences one wants in a shaft for breaking and a shaft one wants for jumping.
