Break & Run

8 ball being the game I'm the most curious about. I have done it a few times, but not very often. What about the AZers?!

Quite honestly, I very rarely run out.

I can win games but not usually by the B&R.

Quite a few times for me over the many years.I've done it enough to not be surprised or even happy about it.Doing it twice in a row would make me school girl giddy though.

I think I may have done that once.

I don't mean to sound as though BNR's come easy for me,but if you play enough 8b and don't completly suck, you'll eventually do it.

I'm an APA 4.. I can break and run 5 or 6 balls pretty consistantly.. but to complete an 8 ball run doesn't happen often enough!

If you are a 4, then you shouldnt be running out!

Thats what I was thinking. Even consistently running 5 or 6 balls you should be at least a 5 if not a 6. But hey, if you're under ranked then all the better for your team. :)

We already have 2 6's and 2 5's on our team. I'm the one guy that can go up and get that needed win. I normally play against people equal or lower than my rank to keep from going up. You gotta have that one person that is ranked lower than actual skill! :)

Personally, I like to have players who I think are at the top of their SL. They can beat their own SL but lose to the above ones.

Ive been that way through the APA basically, that and we play on 9ft tables. That keeps my handicap down.

I play on 9ft 6 out of 7 days. That one day.. is Tuesday on league night..I hate barboxes

We play APA (CPA) on 9ft tables, I prefer barbox tables, played way more games on them.

I'm not a big fan of the APA but I play with all my buddies so it all comes out in the wash. I thought out playing BCA but then I played an 8 ball tourny on 9ft (BCA rules). I made it to the match that guaranteed 2nd place it was a race to 2 no handicap. I won the flip and had the break. He racked, I broke and made the 8 in the corner pocket by the head rail I broke from. I THOUGHT I was on the hill (didn't now BCA rules) only to find it was spot or rerack. We chose to rerack. I broke again and made the 8 in the same damn pocket!! I was shocked! Long story short I don't see how making the 8 on the break shouldn't be deemed a win...so... APA wins.
