Get Mike Casey to put a one piece phenolic tip ferrule on your break cue. That's what I did with good results. You just have to make sure you don't fall too far outside of center ball or it will miscue wildly.
Next time I'm at Nine Mile I'll let you break some with my cue and see what you think.
