I know this question has been ask before, I shoot with 19 oz cue ,what weight of break stick is good for me???/ I mean, heaver-or lighter than shooting cue???? THANKS STICK :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

I may not be as noligable as some on this forum but I do know this;

Lighter: for faster.

Heavier: if you want the cue to do the work(lack of controll).

I went to Kmart and bought a 16 oz. cue for $8. Just to see what a lighter cue would do for my break. It didn't help or hinder anything as far as I could tell after a solid month breaking with it. (The wood around the ferrule started curling back and it soon was given away to some kid who didn't have a stick. Hey he wanted it!)

My break cue is 21 oz. and I have used my playing cue on some occasions (19 oz.)

I guess my point is someone telling you what would be good for you would have to be taken with a grain of salt. You have to experience it yourself and you decide.

My Break Q is 16.5 Ounces of Fast Breaking Machine. I played around with lot of Cue Weights before ordering it from JM.

I have Arthritis, in my Shoulders, and Wrists. I found that Personally Light & Fast works best for me, and even at 75% speed it does a good job.

The Cue was designed with Nine Ball in mind. When I am 110% focused, I have been know to SINK (4) on Break, and run out.;)
;)

P.S. someone said “Stick, I think you should get a 42 oz. break cue. I think Easton makes a good one.” FYI BCA rule say 25 OZ is the Maximum weight for any Q.....

Generally it's recommended to go 1 oz. lighter than your playing cue. As some have said though it's subjective. If you're a smaller person you might want to go with a break stick that's heavier than your playing cue.

Stick, 12 oz is about right for a man of your age, you know you don't need to lift any heavy objects. Beatle.........
