Just got back from the 9 ball event at Breakers in Pittsburgh. Nice event well run and streamed by Dan Madden on www.tvmike.tv. Full 64 player field. Lots of top talent. TD played it fair with all the players. One of the top guys showed up at the end of the auction and was barred. Smart move by the TD. His entry would might have changed the entire player auction.
Paul Mottey's room was very well kept up. Eight Diamond Pros and six Gold Crowns. One of the GC's was one of the best I've played on (#14). Reminded me of the tables at the LV Cue Club, California Billiards or Hardtimes Sacramento.
Didn't have any great expectations. I cashed, barely. Better than nothing. Traveled with Julio. He got 7/8. He lost on the hill to Shawn Putnam. Still a great showing for him in a tough field.
