Breaking with a z2

Does anyone do it? It hits the rack really well, but I'm worried I could mess up my cue. My friend snapped his, but that's not what I'm worried about. I'd rather have it snap than have something on the inside get messed up and it doesnt hit as well. Every once in a while the hit sounds off, don't know what it is and I'm worried I should get a new one.
 
Feels too fragile for me to break with. (I dont even like the way it jumps, not solid enough.) Besides, why mash up your tip like that?
 
If you look at the engineering of the Z2 on the Predator site I think you will conclude as I have that the Z2 should not be used for breaking or jumping. The hollowed out shaft is not made to take that kind of abuse.

Seems I have read about several people complaining about their shafts breaking and I wonder why they did not read about the construction.

I think the Z2 is the best of tools for my style of play but it also requires a jump / break cue as an add on. Just the price you pay for excellent modern equipment.

Exactly! Breaks shafts are thicker with less taper for a reason.
 
I have the P314,first ones they came out with and have broken with it a couple times,too lazy to twist the ole break cue together,nothing happened that I've noticed,,,well other than my ferrule cracking..LOL.There was an out-of -pocket expense that I wasn't expecting.
