Don't mean to jack your thread, but aren't these the same prices that Charlie sells them new? Are you a distributor? Wouldn't it be easier to buy from the guy who made them and give him the profit?

Not trying to kill your business, just trying to help other AZers out, particularly Charlie Bond as it was his invention.

re: thread jack

Hey Brandon,
Yes these are the same prices that Charlie sells the breakrak for per my agreement with him, yes I am a distributor and if Charlie gets more sales from the adds I write, this great product gets more exposure than it previously had, more people get to practice their break and improve their pool game then Charlie makes more money, I can make a couple bucks for my time and it promotes good pool everywhere. Is there something wrong with that? Charlie needs to sell a higher volume of product so that he can mass produce it and make it less expensive for eveyone while still making a decent living from his great invention. So if you buy a breakrak from me or directly from Charlie because you saw this add, either way you are contributing to the success of the product, intern giving Charlie the ability to mass produce it, which intern cuts his price down and makes it possible for more people to afford, which intern promotes better pool making it a more popular so that maybe one day there will be enough money in pool for players to make a decent living. Don't you see Brandon, if you buy a breakrak from me, or from Charlie, you will promote pool and do a good dead for pool players everywhere. How many should I put you down for?

I already have one that I bought from Charlie, which is why I wanted to see him get what he deserves. That's why I asked if you were a distributor. No ill will meant towards you, good luck with your sale. I think this is the best Billiards product to come along since the leather tip. If you play any game that involves a hard break, you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't purchase one.

I'm Charley Bond & I'm the old man in the video. I was 60 years old then.

I won a local tournament 5 weeks in a row. On the 6th week, I was told the boys wouldn't play if I did. I was told by the owner, "they can't beat you with that break".

We were playing Short Rack 8-Ball, I ran a lot of racks. Some opponents never got a shot, in a race to 5.

The original poster is a new distributor for our company, let him do his thing.

The rack has different weights depending on the game, and I thought that affects the amount the cue ball is deflected back from the rack? Even if that is the case, I'm considering purchasing one just for the ease of practicing the break, even if it is the weight of a full rack.

Not so, the cue ball doesn't know what it hit, it just bounces back from something bigger than it is. We worked a physics equation to find that info (there was an infinitesimal difference, but the change was way past the decimal point). So fire away folks, have fun & get some break shot practice under your belt.

I bought the breakrak from Mr Charlie 3 months ago and it has improved my break and a few of my friends breaks that have put in the time to practice with it. It is the best practice device for your pool game.

Is the break important?

So I play this guy in a local 8 ball tourney, race to 3 alternate breaks, I win the coin flip, I break and don't make a ball, he runs out. He breaks, makes a ball, and runs out, I break the 3rd rack, don't make a ball, and he runs out, I lost without shooting a shot besides the break. So I run into the same guy in the finals of a different tournament a few weeks later, race to 1 for the cheese, I win the coin flip, give it my best break, don't make a ball, and yup, he runs out. Time to practice D break...?
