Speaking of really good pool players that aren't professionals........

Anybody remember a guy from around Louisville years ago by the name of Brian Roberts? A buddy of mine that is now deceased told me he was the best shooter in Louisville and was right up there with Nick Varner in terms of talent.

Ring a bell? Or am I out in leftfield again?

Bryan Roberts owns Rack 66. Located on Preston Hwy. in Louisville, KY.

An absolute great guy. Love doing business with Bryan.

The person who passed away is Thurman. I can't remember his last name. Thurman was a highly ranked bank pool player and worked at Brian's store until his passing.

Thanks for the info.

But my buddy that passed away was not Thurman.

Apologies. I read the post too quickly.

So........can anybody tell me. Is/Was Brian Roberts an outstanding player? In about the same league as top pros like Nick V?
You presumably know varner was a TOP level player. As such, he has titles and accolades that those who haven't earned such do not possess.

Therefore, no. Roberts is not equal(ish).

He may well be a bad dude, but until the other bad dudes are defeated, varner's equal has not arrived.
