Bridge / Rest Use - World Snooker Championship

I know we have debated this type of use before at pool, but here is Kyren Wilson using it in his semifinal against Bingham. I didn’t see that portion of the match but gather there was no debate about it.
 
McManus said that quite a few players do it on the tour so apparently not a foul in snooker.

I don’t like this being allowed. The bridge has to be used for its intended purpose (of a cue resting in the bridge head).

Anything that extends the player’s fingers should be banned.
