Brunswick 7 foot commercial table

I was at the expo this year and there was one in the Brunswick booth. Savanah was playing on it and I watched her play for about 15 min. The rails were playing exactly like a Gold Crown. 10’ away were Diamond 7’ that were bouncing like super balls. If you prefer the way a GC plays, you will love it.

Later at night I went back but the booth was closed, and the balls were put away. I was able to touch the table though and the fit and finish was really good. No issues that I saw. I also leaned into it and it felt solid.

Aesthetics in person were really good. It had a good family resemblance to the Gold Crown 6.

I’d recommend it over a Diamond due to the proper cushion response. That’s my opinion.
Savanah is amazing !!

You need to get out more.

But the difference I see in the two brands at the room I play at is Diamonds have people playing on them, open to close, with a wait list.

The Gold Crowns are vacant.
You have to remember that's because this is pool and that's the "in" table right now. Probably a lot of people playing with Predators too because that's what they see the pros use on TV.

I normally like their design but I’m just not a fan and I think it’s about a grand more then a diamond which is a hard sell. Has anyone played on one?
I dig it. you can find it over $1000 cheaper than that price though. $7500.

I didn’t even know they made a bar box. Interesting
I don’t think Rasson makes a coin op but the 7’ definitely. It is the same playing surface size as Diamond and Valley I am pretty sure. ( I recently looked at specs because I was thinking of a commercial quality 7’ or 8’ in the house. Ended up just having my Brunswick 8’ home table shimmed up and recovered. Another story). I have played several times on a 7’ Rasson Victory at our Rasson dealer. That is a nice table. Not cheap, but a nice table.

Buying a 7’ new table for my house, I probably would go with what was more available in my area and feasible to move in to the spot it was going. Diamond has the advantage of being the most played on table in tournaments. I think a reasonable price all things considered. Downside is 1 pc slate on most of them, but they do have 3 pc. Important depending on where in a house it is going. Rasson is 3 pc slate. Not cheap. Controversial frame and leveling system I guess. But set up right a good table. Criticism in threads is whether they will stand up to commercial use. I can’t speak to that. If I bought a 7’ table here, I probably would have gotten a Rasson Ox 7’. But a lot of that is because of good local sales and service considerations. In other situations I’d probably go with the Diamond to just get what is used more in tournaments. Durability and resale are good, but those are not my major issues for a home table.

I would get a valley before the Global/Brunswick. Used are cheap and the new aftermarket rails make them play alright. A new one with the new tighter pockets is still less than the Global I think.Aftermarket and parts widespread. When I was thinking of a table I went to a bar that has all Globals. I keep saying Global because my understanding is that the Brunswick coin op is just a rebranded Global. I understand they are made by Global but I don’t know if there are differences in the Brunswick branded one that make it play differently. Anyway, I thought the bar had Valleys, but I was wrong. But I got a beer and deposited a 5 in the bill accepting thing. I had played on one before and vaguely remembered playing on a 9’ Global once. It was OK. It’s not a bad table but doesn’t match a Diamond and doesn’t have the advantage of cheap and available like a Valley. It doesn’t check any boxes for me. Looks, play, or price.

That’s a longer version of why I said what I did. Just IMO FWIW. Now, I was in that great store in Minneapolis a couple weeks ago - Peter’s billiards. If I were going to spend too much money on a home table that wasn’t 9’ …. The 8’ Gold Crown or Centennial. Those are nice. If Brunswick gets me in the future those are possible. Not the coin op.

Yeah, me too. This is probably what I would buy if buying new and 7'.
The quality is poor. I wouldn't advise it. I just installed one a couple of months ago... For the first time in my career, I had a set of slate that I simply could not fix. We had to file a warranty claim for the customer. I'm also not impressed with the build quality.

There is no leveling system... Just the adjustable feet. You can expect the slate to sag, just like a Valley or similar... Or even a Diamond, when the installer doesn't use the leveling wedges.
