Brunswick Ann, worth picking up?

So I'd originally wanted a GC4, but came across this anniversary and wondered if it would be worth picking up for the right price. I know the GC plays a bit better, but as long as it wasn't a huge difference i think I like the look of the Anniversary instead... Now, not knowing anything really about tables, wondering what kind of shape this thing is in, and how hard it would be to restore it. Any input is appreciated, thanks.

Were you looking for a pool table or a snooker table?
Without better pictures of the pocket openings that sure looks like it might be a
snooker table. From these pics the cushions look rounded at the pocket openings.
If the table needs cushions it will probably cost more than to get in decent playing condition
than what a GCIV may cost.

the seller has stated that its set-up for snooker at the moment... I was hoping to have it converted to a pool table.. Its a 9 foot table, so I'm assuming thats what it was originally used as

The right price might be $0.00.
Unless you're in love... move on>>> It takes deep pockets to make those small pocket big pockets.

Wild Bill is right. Cracked slate. Stay away.
I took a closer look at the picture and it appears that a chunk sheared off and what looks like a Crack might just be one side of the part that came off. If you follow the "crack" lines you can see the whole outline of what was once there.

Yes, it looks more like a foliation rather than a crack running straight though it. These types of cracks run between the layers of slate rather than across them. No telling if it goes all the way through to the edge or not. It's just one of many reasons to keep looking for a table.

Awesome info!

Table

That crack is running straight to the slate screw hole, you can see where someone shoved a series of wedge shims{see impressions}trying to level the warp slate to the point to where slate cracked.
A lot of those old slates have issues that require a specialized process to resurface the slate and get it even close to flat.

Unless you're in love, run fast and far on that one. going to cost far more to get it in playable shape than it would cost to find a GC or another Anniversary in much better condition.

I recently had Mark Gregory build my Anniversary and have seen what he's done to get it to play up to modern standards. It's not an exercise to be undertaken lightly.
