Brunswick cues? Dufferin?

Recently ordered a new Dufferin cue from a home furnishing website - they really do have just what I need!

Was a bit thrown off when it was advertised as Brunswick Dufferin. I did a couple of searches but couldn't find anything to suggest that there is any connection between Dufferin and Brunswick, but since it was considerably cheaper than any other place I could find, I figured I'd give it a try.

Listed as a "Wayfair-exclusive," it looks to be the Dufferin D-OE106

I was a bit shocked when the tracking info showed it was being shipped from Brunswick.

I was even more shocked when I went to the website and saw that Brunswick actually sells a few cues. I do have to admit I'm amazed at the naming convention - Brunswick Brown Cue and Brunswick Green Cue. :ROFLMAO:

Brunswick Green Cue

Any idea who makes the Brunswick cues?

Any idea who makes the Dufferin cues now? Are they still made in Canada or have they moved to China like many others? I don't see a country of origin sticker on the cue? Is the Dufferin of today anything like what they put out in the early 90s?

the old canadian house cues were top line. and their cheap two piece cues hit well but looked different than most wanted.
and make good simple conversions from the butt.

they are no longer what they used to be.

I have the one dufferin house cue. Have a 21 oz 2 piece. They came with my table. I have a 19 oz 2 piece that is perfect and I bought it new years ago.

my first cue was a low-end, plastic wrapped decal dufferin. not the best but it was the only one that I was able to afford considering I wasn't paid much back then. it was more of a broom stick to be honest and shoot's meh. it was back when deflection wasn't really much of a conversation back then and LD wood shafts were just coming out. so far, the newer Dufferins I have seen are far-fetched from the ones back in the day.

Thank you for that info - not sure why it was so hard to find when I was I looking.

I figured for the price and being a decal cue it was going to be made in China, but having used them in the past I figured they were less risky. Yes, I know Viking and McDermott have some nice Chinese made cues, but none of them really moved me.

Worse case I don't like the feel and keep it as a spare or break cue. Still not even sure I have enough free time to play, but definitely not at a point that I feel comfortable taking my 30+ year old equipment out.
