Brunswick Gibson(modern)

I've seen a few, but not many of these used tables advertised for sale on the west coast...

I see some 4x8's, but not 4.5 x 9's.

Can anyone comment on how well they play? They look solid. And the retro furniture style likely passes the wife veto vote, if a factor.

In searching 'Gibson', I found that Tate and joelpope had the accompanying rack. I would be interested in your opinions of the table, as well as any other AZ proud owners of this table.

...keeping an eye out for a friend in Socal who is looking for a nice table for his new home...with plenty of room for a 4.5x9.

As far as I can tell they discontinued the 9 foot Gibsons. Not sure why. But they are still around. I recently purchased a 9 foot Gibson in excellent condition. I did a LOT of research on this table. The frame is not as Robust as a Gold Crown IV, but as a personal home table it's plenty good enough. Slate is 1" thick, has Brunswick's premium bumpers, etc. I can't comment on much more than that as my pool room is still about 3 weeks away from completion. But I did secure the Gibson from a local dealer. It was his personal table in his second home, which saw little use. He sold the second home and I bought his table. He said it's a modern version of the Brunswick anniversary. He also has the matching rack, which lists for 1000.00 big ones. But I convinced him that the rack won't sell once the table is gone, plus it's used. So hopefully we get a deal. Personally, I see MUCH better wall racks at a third of the price, but it's nice to get the matching rack if I can get it at a third of list. Also, the rack weighs a ton and is impressively built.

I had a Gold Crown IV I was going to purchase prior to seeing the Gibson, but seeing the Gibson in person really pushed it over the edge for me. He had it set up where I purchased it (wich is both rare and nice). Sold. if they all play this well, then go for it.

Gibson

I have a used one that came out of Breaktime Billiards in Souix Falls SD.
I know the retail was 4 to 5000 range new. I could sell this one for $1800.
