Brunswick Glenwood info

Hi,

I think I posted this in the wrong subforum. It seems it should go here.

This is my first topic. I need info on the Brunswick Glenwood 8' table, which, due to a curious turn of events is arriving in my home to be my table from now on. I searched a lot but I couldn't find any review, any first hand impressions. Mine will come with superspeed cushions and Brunswick's centurion cloth.

From what I gather this is probably a furniture type of table. Is that so? Can I hope for some decent playability & performance? Please, if you know anything about this table, good or bad, I need to hear it. :)

I have a 7' Glenwood and it is a furniture type table. It plays good, though. The pockets are 5" buckets... I had mine taken down to 4.5" via a bad shim job, but it's just a table in the garage to bang balls on, so it's no big deal. There is nothing wrong with the super speed cushions... They play well. The only suggestion I would make is to get some Simonis on there ASAP. It really is the best playing cloth out there.

Have fun with your new table!

Thanks a lot for the reply.

Please tell me, how solid is the table construction? Also, are you talking about the corner pockets being 5' or the side ones?

Simonis is hard to find where I currently live, but I know the cloth will have to be changed...

I'll dig up what info I have on the table from old dealer catalog and get back to you later today.

He is talking about the mouth of the corner pockets. 5" is a pretty standard Brunswick pocket.

Any table is better than no table and Brunswick makes a decent table.

Where do you live where you can't find Simonis? UPS delivers almost everywhere.

44Runner is correct on the pocket size.

Table construction is good... it's a Brunswick... they make good tables.
