I may have a chance to buy a Brunswick Medalist. Guy in the add says he is the original owner and paid $4,500 for it. Pictures though they are limited shows the table to be in really good shape. Any comments on quality of this model or price would be appreciated, good or bad. Oh, he says he wants $800 for the table.

Drop pockets and though pictures are not that great, resembles a Gold Crown from the looks of the top of the table. I am working nights, so it will be at least a couple days before I get over to see it, just wanted to get some views from the guys that know the most about tables. I been looking for a 9 footer, but they don't come around that often unless you want to pay big bucks. If this is a decent deal, hopefully he won't sell it before I can get over to see it and or buy it. Thanks, Ron

it sounds like you are talking about the 'newer' medalist, as opposed to the antique medalist...

the antique version is built like a brick shiphouse, but the newer one, not so much. IMO $800 would be acceptable assuming its in reallllly good condition, otherwise, I wouldnt pay more than $500.

I've always thought that Medalist, the ones that look like gold crowns, were great playing tables.

With the price's of GC tables now a days you would be better off on a GC..
