Looking for as much information on this table as possible. I am looking to buy this table for $250. Let's assume its in fair condition ( That's what the Craigslist ad says) and that the felt is also in fair condition. Is this a good and reliable model from Brunswick? I am looking for something similar to a Gold Crown 8 foot and this is what I have come across. This is the Vip model, what that means I don't know.

Not even close. Walk away.

Also, for future reference (in case you didn't know), new felt will run you close to $200. And that's not including install. So the likelihood of getting a commercial table with salvageable felt is slim.

If you seek an 8' GC1,2 or 3, expect to pay a MINIMUM of $500, and then another few hun to refelt...

The bonus is, once you own a commercial grade table, you will be glad you spent the money.

Any table I bought would be used and I would be putting Simonis cloth on regardless plus I have a friend in the business that has been doing it for years. I will be driving 2 hours to get this table so I want to make sure it would be a sturdy and solid table not something that will shake if I lean on it. Where I play at now has had a Gold Crown for years and just added another Brunswick that is not a GC and is over 50 years old but still plays beautifully. Maybe I was a little extreme in comparing this to a Gold Crown but you get the idea of what I am looking for.

Good luck. Hard to tell from the pic, but the legs don't look near as sturdy as a GC.
Also, the stuff Bruns made 50 years ago, even for home models, is quite different than anything made thereafter. And a 2 hr drive, times 2 (both ways), includes gas and time and taking apart and reassembling... lots of work. Might want to hold out.

Where are you located??? West coast, I can't help. But middle to east coast, and I'm sure we can dig something up for you.

where abouts in ohio....i have a 9 ' goldcrown i was thinking about restoring..but it could be bought....u interested???
