That is a medalist, made for the "budget" consumer that could not afford a gold crown, they retailed for $2800 and usually sold for about $2400. They were made in the late 80's - early 90's. Not a bad table at all really, rails are hardwood , frame although not as beefy as a GC is fairly solid for a budget table, same slates as the GC. Todays market would be $600 to $800 for a decent medalist. They don't play quite as good as a GC but comparable, they don't come with the leg levelers like the GC.

It's definitely a "newer" (i.e., not the antique model) Medalist. I have an 8 foot Medalist that looks very similar. It plays very well. As selftaut said, it looks very similar to the gold crown, but the legs are different and don't have levelers. Assuming the price is right, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
I don't know how old mine is, but it looks like the same vintage as the one in the pictures. The rails look like hardwood and have a nice grain, but they are laminate. I've seen one newer Medalist that is a darker, more uniform, color. I think the rails on that one were wood? Regardless, I would bet that these rails are laminate since it looks like my table. Just let me know if you have any other questions.
