The short answer is yes, however,
macperson asked a good question.

I would be very surprised if it is a Spain.

Jay - local Adam cue epert - might want to chime in.

Picture, please.

This is alot to swallow, Helmstetter worked with a few cuemakers in his early days, but not so much while working under the Adams title, if you have any kind of proof it would make it a very interesting cue... metal joint or wood pin in the shaft?

Any markings on the forearm?

Helmstetter made tens of thousands of cues. Spain made hardly any blanks to speak of really. Certainly not enough to supply any manufacture. His operation (when he did do anything) was tiny.

Pretty much - Burt made blanks for Bushka and Paradice, maybe Palmer??
Tate might know...

IIUC, he did the first 'reverse points' - maple points into an ebony forearm.

Again, IIUC, Adam was already making their own blanks by this time>

You probably don't have. Adam made all of their own blanks. But if you post some pics, I imagine it can be identified. It is about impossible to say what it may or not be otherwise.
