I originally posted it in the Cue Gallery, but I know a lot of cuemakers don't check out that area often.
This short video shows the first attempt of Burton Spain to make a cue blank. Burton went on to make the best full splice blanks, and was a supplier to George Balabushka. Spain later was the teacher of Joel Hercek, one of today's top cuemakers.
