I have a friend from ny pHall that has always told me he has a Balabuska. I wasn't sure if he was lying or not, but, I got to see/ touch it today. I was telling him that he should thing about sell it and he told me he wouldn't know what to ask. Can anyone help? It looks like a Titleist with tthe veneers and has no inlays and has a couple of red rings around the butt. He has 1 original shaft, but I dont think the ferrule was original. I think the wrap had also been replaced. He did play with it using a scruggs shaft not the original and I got to hit some balls with ti. It felt solid and was as big as a baseball bat at the end! So, I would rate the condition 5or6/ 10. If he decides to sell it, should he have it refinished first or sell it as is? Any bpark hi/lo $estimates. Thanks! OH and I will try to get pics to share but dont know if I will ever see it again.

As far as the price goes he should just start asking for offers and hold off for a good one. He should not touch the finish, wrap or anything else. Leave it like it is. What color is the rubber bumper in the end of the cue? How long is the butt? How long is the shaft?

why are you worried about someone else's cue that you dont know if you'll ever see again?

Well if it it real you should be able to command a hefty price for it!! I would give $100 but only if I could verify it as a real buska!! :D

If you want a real honest answer get in touch with Pete Tascarella. He's a great guy. He does charge for authentication. I don't know how much but if it's real, it's worth it.

i could of said the same about your first post.

sorry i didnt know if you were just curious or seeking advice.

seeking advice didnt make sence cause yousaid you didnt know if you would see it again.

lots of variables, most of the time its best to leave a cue original, but sometimes they are in horrible shape and probably should be restored- not reffinnished, unless someone famous did all the abuse and could be verified.

one should get it authenticated first and seek advice from there.
