Bustamante was injured?

I like Bustamante, he is a fine player but against Larry Nevel, he missed a lot of "easy" shots for a player of his caliber. Do ya'll think he was really injured or he knew that he couldn't beat Nevel? Larry played great pool yesterday and his break is DEVASTATING. Any inputs anyone?

Thank's

Although I believe I have heard every reason imaginable why a pool player believes he/she did not capture a win, I cannot fathom that Francisco Bustamante would state he was injured unless he truly was. That is just my opinion from past interactions with him. He seems like a straight-up guy.

Larry Nevel does have a devastating break in 9-ball, and it seems that this past week at the Carolinas Open, it was working for him, in addition to his excellent shot-making capabilities.

As the saying goes, may the best man/woman win, and in this instance, Larry Nevel was the best player in Goldsboro! Congratulations to him for rising to the top in this topnotch field.

I wasn't there but would find it hard to believe. Busta just doesn't seem the kind of player to lay up like that. Was he still breaking hard after the injury? That would be the best indicator.
