Butt cap on a Mali cue

The one cue I used a large one on, was a Mali.... and it will work slipping it over the buttcap of the cue. I would try to focus more on the threading area as that is usually where the epoxy is. Those units will work thru the wood

Interesting, I originally ordered this kit https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09CPX851W/ref=ox_sc_act_title_7?smid=A3BIS2KX0GYGM&th=1, but cancelled it in favor of the kit with the smaller coils. I'd prefer to use the tool through the wood, thereby concentrating on the glued area needing softened. Plus that would allow you to feel the pin and get an idea what is going on inside. Fortunately one of the coils 1-1/8" I'll receive can be slipped over the joint and used through the wood/plastic like you've previously done. Good info, thanks!
