Butt extension options for a Valhalla cue?

Cue shopping... the "Valhalla series Red Marble Paint VA212" butt caught my eye.

Players in the Mosconi Cup were frequently attaching/detaching butt extensions, sometimes more than once per rack. Seems like it's an important part of the game now?

Are there options for using a similar butt extension with a Valhalla cue?

I see that Viking sells an aluminum butt extension with a replacement Valhalla bumper for $168 but I'm not going to spend $168 on an extension for a $113 cue...

Not without the modification you don't want to do. For reaching shots they make $15-20 slide over extensions. If you want to extend the length full time, get a mid-cue extension, cheaper, no need for modification.
