Send it back to viking. Or a local repair guy. Do not attempt to do it your self.
I had to do one on my own cue. As I live no where near anybody that could do it.
I had no experience, no lathe. With out joey and Mike Webbs help I wouldn't have had a clue. I had loose weight bolt behind the pin to deal with. It took 3 attempts and two joint pins, being very nervous I could wreck my cue, at any point. Anyway the important thing is, I sorted it. It's fine now. Its not worth the stress. Unless you know what your doing.

In addition to making and repairing cues, I'm a Viking dealer, in a case like this, send the cue back to Viking. Removing the joint collar or pin is certainly possible if you know what you are doing, but if the cue is covered by warranty, let Viking do it.
