Butt sleeve/rings conversion?

Quick question...

Can you have just the butt sleeve and joint rings in a cue changed to a different design? I bought my playing cue used, but it's almost exactly what my ideal cue would look like and was wondering if this was possible. Thanks in advance for the replies!
 
I was thinking some ivory and silver rings and a hoppe style buttsleeve - relatively simple. I was thinking about having my cue refinished and one of the shafts re-tapered at some point. Figured that since I was having that done, maybe I could have the cue tweaked a little bit rather than having a whole new cue built just for that.
 
Sounds like a good plan for a revamp. Get all the work done by one builder, all at the same time. You should basically have a new cue when you're done. Good Luck with that. I hope it meets your expectations once completed.

I'll have to excuse myself from your list of potential builders though as I don't use ivory. Again, good luck with your project.
