The olivewood/purpleheart really doesn't do it for me. I don't really like trying to match highly figured light colored woods with the likes of purpleheart, but to each his own. I really like the ringwork, particularlly at the base of the wrap where you matched the olivewood grain pattern, and I also like the wide Rambow style white ring. Personally I think the olivewood in this cue is way to pretty to simply be a handle. I would like to see it actually be the forearm and butt with some type of leather, lizard, or maybe even a cork wrap.

Keep 'em coming. Looks like you're doing some great work!

hi scott, it's not purpleheart. pretty sure it's not :rolleyes: but i am extremely colorblind. wife says "it ain't purple". mahogany maybe?
 
as in purplehart.. you guys talking about the top butterfly? it really looks like purpleheart to me.. from the pic that is.. its very purple.. i am not a big fan of purple heart either.. but it looks good in the butterfly.. i like it in small inlays and such.. but not huge chucks of purpleheard like on buttsleeves and stuff.. but thats my opinion.. not everybody likes and hates the same things.. chris
