Buyers beware!!

Are you suggesting that he get a refund as well as keep the cue? !!

I'm saying that credit card disputes typically rule as "merchant refused to accept a return, so he can't have it, plus he tried to screw you so here is your refund"

They can't refuse a return and then demand one, per litigation results in the past.

Hey, according to the signature on the cue, this was built earlier this year. If it does indeed have the major issues you mentioned (rings popped, warped butt, warped shaft) it seems like a reputable builder would be willing to fix them or replace the cue regardless of whether you are the original buyer.

Just a thought.

I'm sure Russ would take care of it if it was his fault, and it's not my responsibility to have to send him the cue and wait when I was paying for a cue that was supposed to be in 99.99% like new. As most know a cue that as old as this one is and it's in the condition it is in, comes from neglect on the original owners part ie. left in the car all the time. I did try to call Russ a few times on Monday and Tuesday but I didn't get a answer and his VM was full.

Just curious, why did you call Russ if "it's not my responsibility to have to send him the cue and wait..."?

I wanted to see what month he made the cue, and to see if the original owner had already tried sending him the cue to see if he was aware of what the guy who sold it to me was trying to pass off as 99.99%

Separate from the dispute over the cue.
Buyer beware of PayPal... their buyer protection, or whatever they call it, is in name only. A paper tiger that claims they'll step in but, good luck getting to that point.
I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has had any benefit from Paypal on a disputed purchase.
... additionally, my late father-in law, a country lawyer, occasionally would share his wisdom .... "Don't be a damn fool!" that would apply to PayPal payment as a gift.
