Buying a used table

There's a couple of used tables for sale near my house. The ads are below. I dont know much about tables so any advice on what to look for and ask would be appreciated. Thanks.

1. Pool table, slate, good condition, 4'X8', $700/obo. (he'll accept $500)

2. Brunswick, 4'x8' Mint condition, Oak w/green felt, Snooker Balls, Boston Balls, accessories, tri-light included. $600.
 
If your in the Hamilton Ontario area ( as per Kijiji ads), why not talk to Don at DB cues and get a proffesional table to play on ( not much more money ), he's got a good selection of tables .
