Buying new cue. Help needed!

Hello, guys! First of all I want to apologize for my English, I'm from Spain. :o
Well, now I have a cue which cost me less than 50$, from China of course  (brand: Hansinburg  ). Well, I think for this price is a good cue, strait 100% :) I've been playing with it for almost 1 year and I think it's time to buy a new one. I was watching the Lucasi Hybrid (looks like they use almost the same technology like Predator), and for about 310$ I can buy Lucasi Hybrid Exotic LHE30, it seems quite Predator IKON2. But apparently, the seller (the only one I found here in Spain) gives the change of the original shaft by a Predator 314-2 for 130$ or OB-1 for about 100$. My friends recommended me to do that, buy a good butt with 314/OB-1 directly. I want to spend about 300-350 $ in total, thus, I'm searching a cue for about $ 200-230 (300-350$ less 130$ the Predator/OB shaft). There are not many to choose from, Lucasi, McDermott, Joss or Pechauer. Here you have a few models that I founded (approx 180-230$, some cues, like Lucase, have a good discount).
- Lucasi L-E30 (almost all Lucasi have Uni-loc joints)
- Lucasi L-E52
- Lucasi L-E54
- Lucasi L-E26

- Pechauer JP-USA (various colors)
- Pechauer JP-01 (various colors)

- Joss 03-01 (various colors)

- McDermott C265/C267 (November 2007 Cue Of The Month)
- McDermott M8-02
- McDermott M8-1A (January 2009 Cue Of The Month)

Whay do you think? Any recommendations? Which butt is better? Or it will be better to stay with the original shaft that comes with the cue? Do you recommend other brand? Personally, I like Schon style, but this cues are too much expensive :(
Any help will be greatly apreciated. Thanks in advance. :p

PS: if you know a good online shop (apart from ebay) that ships to Europe, would be useful.

Try PoolDawg.com. They have a banner at the top of the page here.

Personally i would go for the Joss out of the cues you listed. I've always liked Joss cues.

All those cues are nice production cues. I think that you could get a nice used Schon for your price range. Post a WTB Schon cue for 300ish and I'll bet you get some interest. The others you have selected would all be fine as well. You could probably get a nice custom sneaky for that price as well. My 2 cents FWIW.

If the McDermott you list as M8-02 is the M802 "Blaze" I would get it since McDermott has retired that cue and therefore it may have some eventual collector value. I'd also keep the shaft that comes with it and then consider getting a Mcdermott G-shaft or I-shaft in addition to the consideration of Predator and OB shafts.

Spain appears to have two (actually 3) McDermott dealers
1) Billarnet in Madrid
2) Billares Carlos Teofilo In Madrid and Barcelona

Hello! Thanks to all for your replys

All of your choices are O.K. I would get a Lucasi as they are nice for the money.
Yep, I like those Lucasi more than Joss or Pechauer (visually, I mean, don't know if they are better)

I would go with the Pechauer. Available here
Thanks, thunder ;) 30$ shipping cost. I've seen some cues for about 300$. I'll take them into account ;)

Thanks, joe ;) I've seen that page before. Found interesting cues. There are plenty of choice.

Thanks for your 2 cents, justin :D I like very much Schon cues. Don't know how much can cost a good used Schon. Do you think it would be better then Joss/Pechauer (for example) with 314? And what about custom sneaky? What pros and cons?

Hi, tbeaux. That M8-02 I saw on ebay. I read some things about Intimidator shafs. Looks good to me. Don't know if they are better than 314/OB.

Cya

As a lot of you know i have been looking for a new cue.
Here are some thoughts on 4 cues i have tried out at a local dealer

Lucasi = forward balanced-can feel the rings and joint with finger not well matched and the two that i saw had dark streaks in shaft-muted hit.

Joss = nuetral balance felt like an old friend - rings and joint very smooth and a clear shaft-nice crisp hit.

Mcdermott = see joss comments. Very similar.

Players = Just for the kicks i tried one. It felt better then the Lucasi and was only $90!!!! Go figure that.

I have a nicely figured brand new 19.5oz Bacote SneakiestPete for $125.00 shipped to the lower US 48 and paypal included. It has a 12.75mm Kamui "Black" tip, a 3/8-10 G-10 joint pin and joint protectors and it will shoot circles around any of the cues you have mentioned!
I'm going to post it for sale tonite but you can have first shot at it. If you are interested in this cue tell me where you are in Europe and I can get you shipping quote via pm.

Hi again, tbeaux. What do you think about this one? http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=144395

I like the Joss just slighty over the McDermott. All are good hitting cues for the money.
Good to know. Thanks

Hi, measureman. Interesting info about Lucasi. Well, I'm not surprised, they are made in China

ill go with the Joss(if you like ss joints) or the peachuer. good choices overall, might want to consider a nice sneaky from some cuemakers for your budget :)
