Buzz ring

Does anyone know what the buzz ring is for? Also, I have had some conflicting information of A-E ring positions.

I've been playing with a great playing Jensen cue that has rings at every position except at the bottom of the wrap, above the butt sleeve. Apparently there is a "buzz ring" there. Does that mean that you can't have a silver ring at that position? What does the buzz ring do, and what other cues besides Szamboti have them? Also, is the buzz ring always at the same position?

I had the same questions but did a search on buzz rings and found a couple or three threads on the subject.

What are you doing up so late? Lots of valves to sell, you need to be bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning.

Do a search on buzz rings. I had the same questions but found 2 or 3 other threads on the subject.

You've got lots of valves to sell in the morning, what are you doing up so late:) ?

Half? That would be a pleasant upgrade sometimes. :)

I thought a "buzz ring" was something you wore, in the palm of your hand, to jolt/spoof your opponent before a tournament match, during the pre-match handshake. Or, put it on, and get a buzz, take it off, to remove a buzz. I've only seen "buzz hats" so far though.

It is a place you go when not working (assuming a job) and not playing pool. You know, the place you keep your computer.

I was wondering the same thing as I was typing the thread. So much for me ever starting a thread. I'm going to the novelty store to buy a hand buzzer, write Szamboti on it, and post it up for sale

Oh, continue to start threads. It was a good question, but was also fodder for a clever person. :)
I figure posting in these things I'm take my chances on somebody making fun, but it's all in good fun.
