buzzing noise?

I hold the butt end of the cue with my left hand about 7" up from the butt and hit the end with my right hand I hear a buzz coming from either the joint or ferrule. It is hard to tell where is it coming from, I have wrapped some plumbers tape around the weight bolt threads cause I thought it might be the weight bolts that were loose. I also have the shaft and butt tightend to the max.

But what else can it be? The cue seems to play fine but it is kind of annoying playing with a cue that I know should not be like this....

Send it to a cuemaker and have it checked. Speculations can cause headaches, actual checking produces results.

Either loose ferrule or possibly the weight loosined up in the butt.......had that happen to me quite a few times

If you unjoin the shaft and it's still buzzing, my guess is the joint pin or the metal stud in the A-joint area.
Take it to a repairman/maker as Mike suggested.
