C and B Players Can Score Big At DCC

Watching a lot of the streaming at night from the DCC I saw something I use to look for to put good safety players in the box getting big spots. These pros and shortstops are giving up a lot of weight to C and B players. A C+ to B player with an "A" safety game can make some money if he matches up right and plays safe when he can't make it to his money ball. When I gambled as a B player I could kick out of a safe well, as I had played a lot of 3-cushion. As far as my safety game?not so good, or should I say, I didn't play safe very often. Johnnyt

I agree with you. I wish I was there--not saying I'd win, but I'd have some fun trying some with some of these spots. It really shows you how strong these people are (e.g. Bergman) to be able to win giving the breaks and last 5. That seems like an insurmountable spot. But I guess it's like playing the ghost in a race. If you think you can get there and your opponent can't, it's a good bet.
