Cadre 47 2 from the land of Hellas Ἑλλάς

Thanks foe these

I asked this on fb and still don't understand

What is the difference in 47.2 and the 71 something games?

What do the table marking mean,?

Looks like 9 box boxes and 6 small ones

Can you explain it to me?

The small boxes were added to the game expressly to defeat the greatest balkline player, American Jake Schaefer, in the early 1900's. He could nurse the object balls so well as to place one ball on each side of the principal lines, then run literally hundreds of points in that position. Nobody else could touch him, so they added the small boxes to prevent him from doing that -- didn't work, he still ran hundreds, effectively killing the game in the US (audiences got bored after he shot for a couple hours).
