The word Calavera (Spanish) translates as skull or skull and crossbones. These cues are made in the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex area. I'm not sure of the name of the cue maker; however, I'm starting to see more of them at the local pool halls. The first time I saw one was in Rockwall, Tx. The player had just won the local Nine Ball Tournament and allowed me to shoot with it. The cue shot remarkably well, that I ended up puchasing one. These are custom cues that have a solid hit and shoot superb. The hit of this cue competes with any of the top brand names at a fraction of the price. I have 2 in my collection (21 cues). The cue is put together well and it has excellent craftsmanship! It is my understanding that the cue maker only makes a few cues per year. Also, he only works on one cue at a time.
