Calavera Cues

The word Calavera (Spanish) translates as skull or skull and crossbones. These cues are made in the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex area. I'm not sure of the name of the cue maker; however, I'm starting to see more of them at the local pool halls. The first time I saw one was in Rockwall, Tx. The player had just won the local Nine Ball Tournament and allowed me to shoot with it. The cue shot remarkably well, that I ended up puchasing one. These are custom cues that have a solid hit and shoot superb. The hit of this cue competes with any of the top brand names at a fraction of the price. I have 2 in my collection (21 cues). The cue is put together well and it has excellent craftsmanship! It is my understanding that the cue maker only makes a few cues per year. Also, he only works on one cue at a time.

Looking for owner

Hey Badboy, I came accross and purchased on of these ques less than a year ago. I hits solid. It remindes me of a high end mcdermott. I'd like to see the other ones offered. The guy I bought it off said the price was not bad. Alot of stick for the money. I also have a large collection of cues, and it's one of the main ones I shoot with. I would like to know more when people ask me about it, and I would also like to know If all the cues are as good as this one. If you find out the owner, please forward to me. Thanks, Richard D.

Calavera Cue in the Philippines

Hey Everyone, I think I have the first Calavera Cue in the Philippines. The cue has great balance and a very solid hit. The hit sort of reminds me of the old "B" and "C" series McDermott cues. The cue is made of Wenge wood with Holly Points. Man, this cue is beautiful and hits good.
