California House Pool Tables ?

I shared with a friend that I am buying a 9' Diamond for my new home. He was adamant that I should consider a "California House" table instead. I've never heard of them, seen one, or obviously played on one. To my surprise they are well over $12,000 for a 9' table.

Anyone know anything about them?

Stay with diamond. Cal house make gameroom furniture like bars, stools, game tables. Ok stuff but not pool tables.

Sounds like your friend may not be a player. No player would recommend a California House over a Diamond.

Older thread but interesting... Our new clubhouse has 2 California House City tables. I hated them from day 1 on looks alone. Real crap as for woods, mismatched grains, fit and finish. The pockets hold 3 balls..the 4th will jump out. I thought they cost around $2500 each. Would not want one period. Just found out they were $12,000 plus. I could not believe it until I looked them up. The table is for the person with unlimited funds, no taste and no idea how a well set up table plays. Truly a clubhouse bangers wet dream.
