Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the upcoming International 9-Ball Open.
The Accu-Rack will be the official rack at the International.
As an Official Racker, you will be trained to use the newest version of the Accu-Rack 9-Ball Template.
Rackers will typically rack for more than one table at a time, but not more than two or three.
Referees will assist you in racking and will be present at all times during the matches.
The players are not permitted to examine the rack prior to the break.
Volunteer Rackers are required to wear dark pants and dark shoes, similar to the dress code for players.
International shirts and gloves will be provided for you.
Rackers are not permitted to have cell phones active in the arena.
All cell phones must be set in the airplane mode.
Once the game is in progress, rackers may not converse with the players.
Volunteers will rack the matches from Monday through Thursday.
The matches begin at 10:30AM and the last round begins at 10:30PM.
There are six sessions each day: 10:30AM, 12:30PM, 2:30PM, 6:30PM, 8:30PM, 10:30PM.
The number of sessions that you want to rack is up to you, but we would expect a minimum of 3 sessions per day.
Naturally, the more the better.
Of course, there will be some short breaks in between matches, so you will have time to rest, grab a quick bite, etc.
As an official racker, you will gain free entrance to the Tournament as a spectator at any time, a free International shirt, free gloves, and a free Accu-Rack.
As a unique bonus, upon request, the players will sign your International shirt as your personal memento of the event.
Most importantly, you will be an integral part of the International, one of the major 9-Ball Tournaments in the US.
